The 911 went into production in 1963 and has never really stopped being the answer to what a sports car should be. Sixty years of the same silhouette, refined and never replaced.
This officially licensed advent calendar builds one, a piece at a time. Behind the doors is a 1:43 scale Porsche 911 with a metal body, finished in enamel blue — a colour made for this calendar and nothing else. The vehicle comes as a six-piece kit with twenty-one accessory parts. Everything plugs and screws together. No glue, no paint, no modelling experience needed.
The book
Alongside the build runs a 52-page large-format volume by Jürgen Lewandowski, written in collaboration with the Porsche Museum, covering the 911 from 1963 to the present day. English and German, both in the same volume. It stays on the shelf long after the calendar is empty.

The build
Each door holds one numbered stage. Ten to fifteen minutes of work, then it goes back on the shelf until tomorrow. By Christmas Eve the 911 sits on its banked curve at roughly 20 × 15 × 10 cm — noticeably bigger than a plain display base, because the diorama is part of it. The doors are numbered rather than dated, so nothing stops you building it in an afternoon.
